A Message From the President
Dear Friends and Colleagues:
As your Partners in Fundraising, APRA remains dedicated to our mission of promoting the value and impact our members have on the greater fundraising and philanthropic community. APRA continues to be steadfast in our goals. Everything we are and seek to be is meant to ensure that APRA serves its members — YOU!
We have a tremendous amount to be proud of this year. APRA’s leadership has made strong efforts to be creative, strategic and effective in meeting our community’s needs. Hearing from members that budget cuts would make travel difficult, the Board focused resources on a more robust delivery of online learning opportunities. We joined regional symposia into the 23rd Annual International Conference to better serve those in our community whose budget did not allow for travel. We launched the new Online Education and Training Center, which allows members to personalize their own professional development opportunities. (See Education.) This year alone, APRA has provided education to more than 1,600 fundraising professionals!
We also forged new partnerships with peer organizations, vendors and sponsors, creating synergies and collaborations that deliver even more value and benefits to members. APRA continues to lay the groundwork to keep the momentum going into next year and beyond. (See Looking Forward.)
I am humbled and have been honored to serve APRA as your President. APRA is such an amazing organization; it is the members, members like you, who make it a great success. You too can get involved with APRA by completing the NEW online membership profile, indicating your volunteer interests. I look forward to watching and contributing to the continued growth of APRA as your Immediate Past President.
