About the APRA Track System

The APRA track system is your tool for finding the right sessions for your particular career needs or areas of interest. Select a track and follow it all the way through the conference, or move around picking courses in several different tracks. Personalize your itinerary to meet your needs; this is your conference. Following is a brief description of each track. 

Research Fundamentals
This track features basic research topics and techniques that encompass essential skill development and common approaches to research activities. Topics are targeted to researchers with less than three years of experience and non-researchers interested in learning more about the essential functions of research in the development process.

Advanced Research
This track focuses on advanced research topics and techniques that encompass best practices, emerging technologies, financial analysis and comprehensive issues targeted to researchers with more than three years of experience and directors and managers of research who are interested in staying abreast of contemporary issues and research methods.

Data Mining/Prospect Identification
This track includes topics that pertain to practices and techniques related to data mining and modeling for identifying new prospects and re-evaluating and upgrading existing donors and prospects.

Relationship Management
This track includes topics of interest for individuals engaged in relationship management and prospect tracking systems including database management, data analysis and reporting.

Member and Cause-Related Organizations
This track is designed to address topics that are unique and specifically pertain to research and fundraising in non-educational, member and cause-related organizations (typically comprising arts, human services, environmental, religious and national organizations).

Healthcare
This track is designed to address topics that are unique and pertain specifically to research and fundraising in healthcare organizations.

Campaigns
This track includes topics dedicated to research, management and fundraising issues surrounding the planning, implementation and management of campaigns.

Management and Professional Development
This track contains programs that assist individuals with strengthening their leadership, problem-solving, communication and management skills as well as those that relate to program management, staff supervision and organizational development.

Trends
This track explores trends, emerging issues, challenges and opportunities in fundraising, philanthropy and nonprofit management.

Session Sign-Up
Reserve your seat in conference educational sessions by pre-selecting the sessions you plan to attend. Pre-selecting your APRA International Conference itinerary will provide you with confirmed seating and priority access to the educational sessions you are coming to see. You may switch your schedule preferences after registering, but seating at popular sessions will be subject to availability. Individuals who pre-select their sessions during the registration process will be admitted first.
