(Re) Positioning Yourself for Growth
David Eberly, Children’s Hospital Trust Boston
Cathleen Parsons-Nikolic, Villanova University
U.S. News and World Report has ranked fundraising as one of its "Best Careers" in 2009. Yet our profession is facing new and unparalleled challenges as a result of uncertain economic times. What professional and interpersonal skills must we acquire or enhance to insure our continued career growth and satisfaction in this climate? What new possibilities are there as our profession adapts to new opportunities and embraces new techniques and skill sets. How can we assure our continuing advancement in the profession as researchers, prospect managers, and future gift officers?
This pre-conference workshop, led by two leaders in the field, will focus on preparing us for the next step in your career and placing us on the upward ladder toward job fulfillment and success. In this workshop we will identify opportunities for professional and personal growth, and learn about the attitudes, strategies, and tools that can assist us in attaining them. The goal of this workshop is to inform and inspire us to benefit both ourselves and our organizations and to (re)position us for growth.
