Even the most tenured managers have experienced unprecedented management challenges over the past 18 months. Resources have shrunk, demands have grown and everyone is feeling the pressure. The Management and Leadership Seminar is designed to help you take your team to the next level by becoming more efficient and effective through small changes. By focusing on communication, team building, change management and project management, the Management and Leadership Seminar will help your team move from working from crisis-to-crisis to focusing on long-term opportunities. Department managers and senior managers from all aspects of fundraising research, relationship management and analytics are encouraged to attend.

Program highlights:

  • Identify ways to address key obstacles and to minimize the resistance that often occurs during times of change
  • Learn how to use project management fundamentals to break projects into appropriate tasks to better engage your team and share accountability!

Program faculty:

Carol Sisk
Director of Learning and Performance, Stanford University
Carol Sisk has held senior positions with global Fortune 500 companies in high-technology, financial and professional services. Partnering with client groups, teams and individuals to achieve key business results, Sisk generates innovative, yet practical solutions to solve business challenges focusing on leadership development, executive/management coaching, learning and development strategy, business strategy execution, change management, performance management and team effectiveness. She received her doctorate in Education from Temple University and completed her undergraduate work in Behavioral Sciences at San Jose State University. Additionally, Sisk is a founding board member of the Association for Strategic Planning-Northern California; volunteers with Fresh Lifelines for Youth which helps teens in trouble learn to make healthy decisions and worked with the Women in Management group at Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Kristin Skarie
Founder and Managing Director, Teamworks
Teamworks Founder and President, Kristin Skarie is an international speaker, educator and entrepreneur with twenty-four years experience in crafting distinctive, relevant and grounded leadership development programs for college, corporate and community organizations. She shares her expertise with hundreds of universities, hospitals and companies to uncover the collective wisdom in teams and is a regular presenter at professional conferences for managers, administrators and student leaders. Skarie was a “2010 Athena Award Nominee” in Rochester, NY, for her work in business, mentoring, leadership and service. She was also recently appointed as a Trustee to the American College Personnel Association Foundation Board. Skarie is a contributing author to Lessons from the Road: Inspirational Insights from Leading Speakers in Education for which a portion of her proceeds benefit Jumpstart, a national literacy initiative. Her B.S.in Physical Education is from the University of Wisconsin and her M.S. Ed in Higher Education and Student Affairs from Indiana University.
