Research is an integral part of major gift fundraising and as fundraising priorities shift, researchers must be ready to adapt to meet those changing needs. What to research and when to research are huge questions that each research department must decide. We discussed proactivity, reactivity, discovery, screening, profile formats, and how research works to meet the demands from pre-campaign to post-campaign to pre-campaign again.
