A positive and productive working relationship with your prospect development colleagues is a key component of a successful fundraising operation. In order to have a strong portfolio that will help you reach your goals you and your partners in prospect development have to be on the same page and be able to communicate well. This session will feature a conversation between a fundraiser and his partner in prospect development where they share best practices in moving your relationship from transactional to a valued partnership. It will include prospect case studies and examples of how you can move your relationship forward. Fostering the ability to interact with each other and discuss what insights are missing from the “complete picture” of the prospect and what needs to be further investigated (i.e. outside philanthropy, unknown wealth, personal interests from social media, friends or business associates, etc.) is the key to bringing your fundraising efforts to the next level.

This session will also include a demo of basic essential prospect research resources to empower you to do some preliminary research on your own.
