Save Time and Heartache by Building Your Own R Package

Track: Data Analytics Symposium

Session Number: 1072
Date: Thu, Aug 9th, 2018
Time: 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM

Description:

While R is great for data analysis in R, repeatedly typing the same or similar commands can be tedious. Simplify your life (and avoid the heartache of trying to remember esoteric arguments to vital, but rarely used, functions) by wrapping the things you do every day up into a set of functions and make it an R package. The presenter will cover the basics of building your own R package specific to your shop, how to document functions, and the best way to share your package with others (or other machines you use).
