Experts predict that $30 trillion in assets will transfer to Gen X, Gen Y (Millennial), and Gen Z children over the next few decades, a change that has major implications for charitable giving. This presentation is designed to examine what sets donors under 40 apart and explore the opportunities and challenges inherent in engaging the next generation of philanthropists. Presenters will examine the role heirs are currently playing in the philanthropic landscape as well as the family offices, giving collaboratives, and philanthropic advisors who are guiding them. Presenters will also share practical, research-based tips that nonprofits of all sizes can use to identify and engage philanthropic heirs and discuss strategies for setting up internal development programs specifically designed to attract the next generation of wealth… or wealth to be (WTB)!
