Stuck in the Middle with Who: Analytics and Strategies for Mid-Level Giving

Track: Data Analytics

Session Number: 1085
Date: Sat, Aug 11th, 2018
Time: 8:00 AM - 9:30 AM
Room: Room 301-303

Description:

Since the mid-level of the donor pyramid became a hot-topic a decade ago, there has been general agreement that this is underserved component of fundraising strategies. Yet data still suggests that mid-level giving programs are still struggling to gain footing, and that too many major donors are not trained to be annual contributors through an effective mid-level effort. How do we change that?

This session will provide you with analytic strategies to best identify mid-level prospects using both descriptive and predictive techniques. Furthermore, the session will discuss the use of the analytical data in research, segmentation, and portfolio development and solicitation strategies. Finally, industry wide benchmarking data on mid-level and major giving will be shared and evaluated.
