From Spreadsheets to the Cloud: Elevating Grateful Patient Fundraising

Track: Relationship Management

Session Number: 1063
Date: Sat, Aug 11th, 2018
Time: 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Room: Room 319-321

Description:

This presentation is a case study of helping fundraisers spend more time with faculty and prospects and less time keeping shadow databases. The University of Chicago Medicine introduced a new relationship management tool, Uprising Technology, that integrates critical data from multiple sources (donor and patient data) in a HIPAA secure cloud based system. This tool increases productivity because it allows gift officers to track faculty input on grateful patient prospects in an easy to use automated system.

The presenters will show how you can host your own “spreadsheet recovery group” and become more relevant to gift officers by simplifying workflows and helping them focus on the right prospects at the right time. Presenters will share tips on advocating with internal partners less familiar with fundraising. They will also share the roll out plan that included extensive testing, training and hype and lead to the successful adoption of the new system.
