Wondering how you can keep development officer portfolios from stagnating? Want to encourage your development officers to actively manage their assigned prospects and track/record their work in your database? Hoping to create more opportunities for portfolio optimization? The process known as “sun-setting” can feel a bit like the Wild West, but the Prospect Management team at the University of Arizona is saddled up and ready to share how they devised and implemented a sun-setting policy that was embraced by senior leadership and development officers alike.

Learning Objective #1: Attendees will leave with a framework for creating and implementing a scalable, flexible, and effective sun-setting policy and procedure (as well as examples of deliverables) that they can adapt for their own organizations.
Learning Objective #2: Attendees will gain knowledge from the first-hand experience of the University of Arizona's implementation of this policy and process.
