Room: Room 413-415

Description:

Traditional gift tables are fraught with peril... What do prospect-to-donor ratios really tell us? How do you account for the prospects you have now that don’t give? And what’s a gift table’s real value for campaign planning? As modern campaigns become bigger and longer, the reality is that donors’ actual giving behavior is not easily wedged into a narrow rating band or into a single gift range. By analyzing previous campaign behavior for thousands of prospects, The Ohio State University found a new way to anticipate total campaign revenue from a group of prospects and use that information to more accurately understand gaps in the pipeline. Presenters from Prospect Development and Reporting & Analytics will talk about Ohio State’s experience challenging traditional methods and using data to identify a new solution.
