The APRA Upstate New York Chapter hopes to encourage the professional development of our membership by participation in APRA-UNY workshops and conferences. We want to give this opportunity to members who wouldn’t otherwise be able to attend because of budget constraints. All current APRA-UNY members are eligible to apply for free registration to one of APRA-UNY’s Spring or Fall conferences. This scholarship will cover the cost of one full APRA-UNY conference registration. This award does not include transportation, lodging, food, or other costs. To apply for a conference scholarship: https://www.facebook.com/ApraUNY.
The Skill Sharing Program offers APRA-UNY members free one-on-one learning opportunities through email and phone. This program is designed to get members in need headed in the right direction, not lead them every step of the way. Volunteer teachers offer a particular expertise to members who are in need of learning. Through the Skill Sharing Liaison, the student is introduced to the teacher. Teacher and student will have an initial conversation about expectations and agree upon date, time and method of communicating. Designated, uninterrupted learning sessions are held to a maximum of three one-hour meetings.
