About the Speaker:
Shelby Radcliffe is the Vice President of Institutional Advancement at Occidental College, overseeing all alumni relations and fund raising activity for the College. She joined Oxy in 2012 from Bucknell University, where she worked for fifteen years in Development & Alumni Relations. For her last six years at Bucknell, Shelby was the Executive Director of Campaign Administration and was responsible for the management stewardship, advancement services, and research as well as developing the campaign plan for Bucknell's current $500M campaign. Prior to working in higher education, Shelby worked in the non-profit arena - in adult literacy, workforce development, and crisis intervention. 

Shelby is the founder of the MARC Conference, which began at Bucknell in 1998. In addition to volunteering for PREP/APRA, MARC, and the APRA Conference Committee, Shelby served on the board of APRA (the Association of Professional Researchers in Advancement) from 2001-2005. She speaks regularly at national and international conferences for APRA, CASE US, CASE Europe, AFP (The Association of Fund Raising Professionals) and Academic Impressions. Shelby's work has been featured in the Chronicle of Philanthropy and CASE Currents Magazine. In 2008, Shelby received the APRA Award for Distinguished Service to the Profession.

Shelby has a BA in English from the Pennsylvania State University and an MS in Education from Bucknell University. She lives in Los Angeles, CA (Eagle Rock) and is thoroughly enjoying her first snow-free winter.
