New Researchers Symposium
July 22-23, 2015
Designed specifically for research professionals with less than two years of experience, this two-day comprehensive program provides information on the continuum of prospect research including: Web research, relationship management, prospect identification and analytics, and corporate, foundation, and individual research. This program will hone your skills and provide a broader explanation of the correlation between research and successful fundraising efforts. Attendees will also receive a plethora of resources and training materials for future reference. Beyond this, the guiding concepts will help researchers in future decision-making in their own shops, to the continual advantage of themselves, their office, and their organization.
Participants will learn the importance of:
• Being organized
• The role research plays in the success of an organization’s fundraising efforts
• Having fun!
• And will walk away with valuable reference materials
Attendees will also have multiple opportunities to share experiences with new researchers, establish new professional contacts and gain materials to help them improve their work.
Hear what 2014 attendees said about the symposium
This was an extremely helpful introduction to the roles, functions, and processes of development offices. Coming from a non-profit organization in the midst of significant growth, this session gave us much greater clarity on how to approach structuring a new development office. The presenters were engaging, accessible, and well informed, and held our attention for two full-day sessions. The take-home materials will be tremendously useful reference guides going forward. Many thanks!
The presenters were amazing. They had such a wealth of knowledge and were able to keep us entertained the long days.
Overall great symposium and the speakers had a wealth of information to share.
