As data analytics and predictive modeling become more prevalent in the realm of fundraising, it is important that fundraising shops get on board. Where does a small shop start, though? This session will focus on how data analytics were implemented at Lehigh University. The presenter will provide attendees with step by step essential guidelines for starting a data analytics program from the ground up. This session will also provide attendees with a basic framework for implementing data analytics into their everyday work as Prospect Development professionals. The key takeaways will include basic understanding of what it takes to implement a data analytics program, basic analytics techniques and model ideas to use in every day work, and suggestions for potential software to use for analytics. Attendees will learn how to evaluate their own institutions’ analytics needs as well as how to make the case for analytics.
