Turning High Tech into High Touch: Transforming Data Into Actionable Insights

Track: Data Analytics

Session Number: 1003
Date: Wed, Mar 15th, 2017
Time: 8:30 AM - 10:00 AM

Description:

Until recently, advancement professionals lamented about the scarcity of high quality information about alumni and constituents. However, with recent advances in technology, we have far greater access to a wealth of readily available information sources. The problem now is one of information overload. Given the increasing availability of information, such as vendor related services (e.g. data appending services and relationship management systems) and publicly available social media sources, the purpose of this session is to demonstrate how advancement professionals can effectively identify, prioritize, manage and analyze the wealth of available information. The critical success factor for today’s advancement services is the ability to see through the data fog to glean actionable insights that enable the effective identification of new prospects and the ability to nurture existing relationships. The objective of this session is to explore the opportunities to leverage data from non-traditional sources such as Social Media platforms and Websites and combine this with the Constituents data in the CRM and other traditional data sources (Wealth, Gift Capacity screening, etc).
