Impact Investing: This is Not Your Father's Philanthropy

Track: Prospect Research

Session Number: 1013
Date: Tue, Mar 14th, 2017
Time: 8:30 AM - 9:45 AM

Description:

Impact investing has increasingly changed the way many organizations are meeting their funding needs. It offers an alternative to traditional giving for philanthropists who wish to leverage the power of the markets to accomplish real measurable outcomes coupled with some nominal ROI. With a greater culture of risk taking in philanthropy among Gen X'ers and Millennials, these alternative approaches to giving back are here to stay. During this session we will examine the impact capital landscape, and explore how our support of traditional philanthropy can be adapted and applied to these strategies for unlocking new capital for social good.
