Apra 2018 Professional of the Year Award Explanation
The Apra Professional of the Year Award recognizes a prospect development professional who has had a significant positive impact on his or her organization’s success in fulfilling its mission. The award is intended to recognize the skills, talents and accomplishments of a member of our profession who has gone above and beyond the scope of their core duties and played a leadership role in their organization.
A committee of Apra members will select one (1) Apra Professional of the Year and the award will be presented at Prospect Development 2018 in Pittsburgh, PA. The 2018 Apra Professional of the Year award recipient receives a full complimentary conference registration to Prospect Development 2018 in Pittsburgh, PA and accommodation.
Self-nominations are permitted. If nominating yourself, please include the name(s) of and contact information for your immediate supervisor(s). Nominations for the award must be submitted by April 2, 2018 to be considered.
- Be employed by a nonprofit organization registered with its national governing authority (if in the United States, a 501(c)(3).
- Conducts prospect research and/or relationship management in his/her position at least 50% of the time.
- Be an Apra member in good standing.
- Developed or significantly enhanced a program at his/her organization directly impacting the organization’s ability to raise more money.

Award selection committee members will abstain from nominating or scoring any nominees that work at their same organization. Current selection committee members are not eligible to receive award.
