Jay Frost
Advisor, DonorSearch; Senior Partner, Jerold Panas, Linzy & Partners, APRA 2016 Fall Symposium Co-Chair

Jay is a leader in discovering and exploring major fundraising opportunities for nonprofits around the world. Jay serves as Senior Partner at the legendary firm of Jerold Panas, Linzy & Partners, and as an Advisor to DonorSearch.  

Previously, Jay served as Chief Strategy Officer at WealthEngine, President and CEO at WealthID, Director of Major Gifts at the International Rescue Committee, Editor and Co-Founder of WFC/International Philanthropy, Development Associate at Meridian International Center,   Program Specialist at the National Endowment for the Arts.  

Jay is active as an industry leader, educator, and author.  He has been a member of the CASE Industry Advisory Council and a board member of APRA.  He is a popular presenter at conferences and meetings in the US, Europe, and Asia. He also publishes regularly on topics related to fundraising and philanthropy around the world. 

Karen Isble
Assistant Vice President, Development Services & Strategic Solutions at University of Michigan, APRA 2016 Fall Symposium Co-Chair

Karen Isble oversees the data and technology infrastructure for the University of Michigan’s fundraising community of 500+ on three campuses, including prospect development and analytics, gift/records administration, integrated data services, resource management, web and e-communications, and application development. Additionally, she provides supervision for three of the University's fundraising units, serves on the senior management and campaign teams, and she represents development on several university-wide data governance and IT committees.

Prior to joining Michigan in 2006, Karen served in fundraising and administrative roles with the Chamber Music Society of Detroit, the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and the Goodman Theatre.  

Karen served five years on the board of directors for APRA International, serving as president in 2013-2014. She speaks regularly at national and regional conferences for APRA, CASE, the Big Ten Development Conference and AFP. Karen holds a bachelor's degree from Harvard University and a master's degree from the University of Michigan.

Shelby Radcliffe
Vice President for Advancement, Willamette University, APRA 2016 Fall Symposium Co-Chair

“I want this event to help elevate those with prospect research backgrounds, in order for them to take their career – and the value of research – to the next level!”

Shelby Radcliffe is the Vice President of Willamette University, overseeing all alumni relations and fund raising activity for the College. She joined Willamette in 2016 after serving as VP for Advancement at Occidental College (Oxy) for four years. Prior to Oxy, Shelby worked at Bucknell University in Development & Alumni Relations for fifteen years, starting in prospect research and ending as Campaign Director. Prior to working in higher education, Shelby worked in the non-profit arena - in adult literacy, workforce development, and crisis intervention. 

Shelby served on the board of APRA and speaks regularly at national and international conferences for APRA, CASE (the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education), AFP (The Association of Fund Raising Professionals) and Academic Impressions. Shelby's work has been featured in the Chronicle of Philanthropy and CASE Currents Magazine. In 2008, Shelby received the APRA Award for Distinguished Service to the Profession.

Shelby has a BA in English from the Pennsylvania State University and an MS in Education from Bucknell University. She lives in Salem, OR and is thoroughly enjoying her return to a natural landscape that includes the color green.
