About Apra

Apra Volunteer Interest Survey

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Apra. Please take the brief survey below to help us understand your interests. This will be valuable information for matching you to the right volunteer opportunity. We encourage individuals to complete this survey annually. Survey results are reviewed on an ongoing basis, but the initial review will begin Wednesday, July 12.

First-time volunteers within Apra are welcome and encouraged — there are many roles that don’t require years of volunteer experience to have an impact. Since we are always developing our volunteer community, we can work with you to find the right match for your comfort.

To create the best committees we can, we ask you to share your background, interests, experience and availability. We also ask some questions about your identity that you might find intrusive or irrelevant to volunteering. We ask these questions so we can create diverse committees and volunteer structures across industry, lived experience in the BIPOC/LGBTQIA+/Disabled community, organization size, time in the profession and more. We believe that all professionals have a unique perspective and convening those perspectives results in superior results and a better volunteer experience. Your responses to the identity questions are confidential and will not be shared outside of the volunteer matching process. We hold ourselves accountable to elevating historically marginalized voices in all levels of our organization.

Finally, you may notice this year we are intentionally focusing on offering short-term and “micro- commitments” to engage as many volunteers as possible.

Please contact Apra Headquarters with any questions.
