What are the dates for the Prospect Development 2023 and where will it be held?

Prospect Development 2023 will take place Monday, August 28 to Thursday, August 31 at the JW Marriott Indianapolis in Indianapolis, Indiana.

When can I expect to book a reservation at the conference hotel, the JW Marriott Indianapolis?

You can start booking your reservation now! Apra has secured a discounted room rate for Prospect Development attendees at the JW Marriott Indianapolis in Indianapolis, Indiana. All conference activities will take place at the JW Marriott Indianapolis — reserve your hotel room here at a special discounted rate of $211 per night, plus tax and fees. Why is Prospect Development taking place the last week in August this year?

Apra’s conference planning team looks across the late July through late August timeframe to identify the best options for its annual conference in regards to location, travel costs for attendees, space needs and availability. Based upon these considerations, the last week in August was chosen for the 2023 event.

Why Indiana amid the political climate there?

Apra is mindful that we have members who live and work in Indianapolis. While our conferences are contracted well in advance, Apra's commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion remains consistent regardless of the physical location of this conference.

Health and Safety

What health and safety measures are in place for Prospect Development 2023?

For public health and safety reasons, everyone attending Prospect Development 2023 will agree to comply with all health and safety guidelines. Any changes or additions to our requirements will be shared on this page and to all registrants.

All health and safety requirements will apply to all attendees, sponsors and exhibitors.

Are masks required to be worn at the conference?

Following the current local guidelines, masks are not required, but PD attendees are welcome to wear a mask based on personal preference.

Programming

When will more information about the agenda, sessions and speakers be available?

The educational lineup for Prospect Development 2023 will be available in April. The schedule-at-a-glance is available for viewing on the website here. The event will kick off on Monday, August 28 with multiple pre-conference offerings, as well as an opening reception at 4:30 p.m, ET. The conference will wrap up at noon on Thursday, August 31 with concurrent education sessions.

Will there be pre-conference programs available and when will registration open?

Yes, we are pleased to share that there will be four pre-conference offerings to choose from for the 2023 conference — Apra Fundamentals: Prospect Research, Data Science Now, Executive Leadership Cohort and workshops.

Registration for all of the pre-conference offerings is open and can be accessed here. Please note: pre-conference offerings require an additional registration fee.

Registration Information

When will registration launch?

Registration is now open. The early bird deadline is Friday, July 14, 2023. Regular rates apply after July 14, 2023. (Professional and Organizational-level Members can always save with the Group Discount!)

What is the group discount and who qualifies for it?

For groups of three or more from the same organization, a discount of $50 per person will apply to the third and subsequent registrants. The first two registrants must pay the full conference rate. Please contact registration@aprahome.org after completing your first two registrations to receive instructions on redeeming the discount on your third and subsequent registrants. This offer does not include those at the Associate-level membership or registrants receiving a discounted rate and is exclusively for full conference in-person registrations for Professional or Organizational-level memberships.

Is a virtual ticket option available this year? If yes, what conference offerings does it allow me access to?

In addition to the in-person conference, we are pleased to also offer a virtual option. Apra’s PD 2023 Virtual Ticket gets you access to four virtual rooms and the opportunity to attend over 12 hours of content across three days. Along with the ever-popular Apra Talks, the virtual ticket will also grant you access to a livestream of the opening keynote and the partner case studies general session. The virtual ticket includes the session recordings from 35 educational sessions.

In-person attendees have the option to purchase the conference recording package of 35 sessions during registration at a discounted rate.

What is the policy if I want or need to change my registration?

We want to assure you that you can secure your place at Prospect Development 2023, knowing that your investment won't be lost should your in-person attendance no longer be possible. See below ("Cancellations and Refunds") should you no longer be able to attend. Should pandemic circumstances or local restrictions on gatherings/travel be imposed, we will contact you with an update on your registration options.

Cancellation and Refunds

All cancellation and refund requests must be made via email to registration@aprahome.org. Cancellation requests will be honored according to the following schedule:

  • In-person registration cancellations made on or before Friday, July 28 will receive a full refund minus a $150 processing fee. No refunds will be issued for cancellations received after July 28. 
  • If you wish to switch from an in-person registration to a virtual registration, the refund deadlines are as follows:
    • On or Before July 28, 2023: No penalty for change; refund in the difference of fees given
    • After July 28, 2023: No refund in the difference of fees given

Refunds will be credited in the manner paid. Allow up to 30 days after the event to receive your refund. Please remember that canceling or changing your registration does not automatically cancel or change your hotel and travel arrangements. Attendees are responsible for adjusting their own hotel and travel reservations.

Virtual Ticket Cancellations

Apra does not accept cancellations for any virtual programs where recordings of the program/events will be available after the live broadcast. If you wish to change to an in-person registration, you will be required to pay the difference between the cost of a virtual registration and an in-person registration in your member category. Your registration may be transferred to a member of your organization, up to 5 days before the event, at no penalty. Membership status will be verified and additional fees assessed as appropriate.  

Substitutions

If you are unable to attend the conference, you may designate a substitute to fill your spot up to 5 days before the event, at no penalty. Membership status will be verified and additional fees assessed as appropriate. Badge sharing is not allowed. There are no refunds for no-shows. Substitution requests must be made via email to registration@aprahome.org. Any requests for refunds of room reservations must be made directly with the hotel.
