Room: Grand Saguaro West

Description:

At The University of Maryland University College (UMUC), the Institutional Advancement (IA) data and reporting infrastructure has grown and developed in two major phases. An overall need was defined for a comprehensive reporting solution where front end staff could run reports, despite not being fully familiar with SQL and the intricacies of query reporting and the Ellucian Advance database. At the same time, IA was migrating their database of record to Salesforce CRM, while integrating three other major data solutions: Ellucian Advance for gift processing, CareerQuest powered by PeopleGrove for Career Services engagement and mentorship, and iModules for Alumni Relations engagement. This presentation will summarize the development of one comprehensive reporting solution for both simple front-end user alumni & donor reports as well as complex queries to support forecast analysis, developed using SQL and Tableau.
