Overwhelmed by the seemingly endless review of obituaries and news alerts? Wishing you could focus more on higher-level tasks? In this session, the presenter will discuss how to utilize support staff, such as administrative assistants and student workers, to aid researchers and how to justify their hiring. The presenter will detail specific duties that apply to a number of different organization types and how students/admins can help. These duties include the review and processing of obituaries and news alerts, writing brief event profiles, and even completing capacity ratings. The presenter will also discuss traits and skills to look for when hiring and training support staff.
