Good to Great: Building a Culture of Transparency, Accountability, and Collaboration from the Ground Up

Track: Campaigns

Session Number: 2080
Date: Sat, Aug 3rd, 2019
Time: 8:00 AM - 9:00 AM
Room: Grand Saguaro South

Description:

LSU just entered in to the first institution wide campaign to raise more than $1.5B. This charge came at the same time we were losing record amounts in state funding, and sitting on an infrastructure that did not support a modern major gift fundraising program. Over the course of the last three years LSUF has made dramatic gains including implementing new relationship management guidelines, fundraising metrics, and prospect management. They successfully shifted a culture that obscured, was siloed, and without accountability, to one that is transparent, accountable, and most importantly, collaborative. This session will walk you through the steps they took to get there.
