Description:

As Prospect Development professionals, we play a vital role in driving data informed decisions at our institutions. We have all relied heavily on capacity screenings, data models, relationship mapping tools, etc. purchased through our vendor partners for years in order to drive these decisions. But what do you do when budgets are tight and resources are hard to secure? At Drake University we decided to create our own affinity score, an "Alumni Engagement Score", using pre-existing data in our database, one very helpful and inexpensive vendor subscription, and a campus-wide initiative to gather new data about how our alums are engaging with the university. Join me to hear exactly how we went about brainstorming key affinity indicators, gathering this data from our campus partners, designing queries, and using Scoreomatic to create THE key piece of data that is now driving numerous business decisions, including a savings of $60K this year alone, at Drake University.
