Kevin A. Clauson

Kevin A. Clauson, Pharm.D., Professor, Lipscomb University College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences

Kevin A. Clauson, Pharm.D., is a Professor at the Lipscomb University College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences in Nashville, TN. He began investigating the potential for blockchain technology as follow-up to his previous work as founding director of a World Health Organization Collaborating Center. Dr. Clauson has explored blockchain for clinical trial data sharing at the White House, CryptoKitties and CryptoZombies as hands-on assignments with students, and as a core implementation for a charity pharmacy. He currently serves on the editorial board of Blockchain in Healthcare Today and Frontiers in Blockchain, the Advisory Board for Equideum Health (formerly ConsenSys Health), and as a distributed ledger technology subject matter expert for HIMSS and IEEE. He is also a recipient of the Blockchain for Education Collaboration Award and won the Blockchain in Healthcare Today Editor’s Choice Award, and his work has generated coverage by the New York Times, Forbes.com, Wall Street Journal, and BBC Radio. He received his Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Tennessee – Memphis and completed a Research Fellowship at the University of Missouri – Kansas City.

Sharise Harrison

Sharise Harrison, Development Strategist

Sharise Harrison has been touting the benefits of data as a prospect development professional for 17 years. A native of Washington, D.C., Sharise has worked in development her entire career. She has participated in 4-$billion campaigns and is always eager to learn about the next big thing in data. Her diverse experience includes: Santa Clara University, Howard University, Georgetown University, Women for Women International, The Foundation Center, University of Kentucky Healthcare, and the Humane Society of the United States. Sharise is a certified Pranic Healer with a focus on mindfulness and meditation. She currently serves as a Trustee of the Apra foundation. Her volunteer work has included serving on the Apra Nominations Committee, as well as serving as chair of both the Awards Committee and Data Science Curriculum Planning Committee. Sharise is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Managing Organizational Systems at Saybrook University. Danny is the founder and CTO of FullArmor Corp. and is responsible for the company’s strategic technology direction and architecture. To date, FullArmor counts more than 30 of the Fortune 50 amongst its customers including Walmart, Boeing, and Bank of America and have done OEM and asset sales to large enterprise vendors such as Microsoft, NetIQ, Citrix, Dell, and others. Danny also holds positions as VP/Director of Valley Christian Schools Math Science and Engineering, and Chief Technology Officer of Quest Institute where he utilizes his industry skills to provide innovative opportunities for students to fly experiments to the International Space Station and navigate to deepest unknown oceans.

Mike McCoy

Mike McCoy, Senior Product Manager of Decentralized Finance (DeFi), Blockdaemon

Mike is a Senior Product Manager of Decentralized Finance (DeFi) at Blockdaemon I help institutions stake, scale and deploy decentralized infrastructure with easy to use tools and applications. Previously at ConsenSys, Accenture & Humana Mike has worked in technical strategy, product development, integration and growth to use and scale emerging technologies to industry standards.

Outside of Blockdaemon he is an Adjunct Professor at Thomas Jefferson University's Institute of Emerging Health Professions as a lecturer and course developer for our graduate certificate programs including the first 'Blockchain for Healthcare' course in the United States. He is also the chair of The Linux Foundation, Hyperledger Healthcare Special Interest Group and is an active member in technical and social working groups.

Pavel Rutherford

Pavel Rutherford, Associate Director of Philanthropy Research and Prospect Management, Gladstone Institutes; 2022 Apra Expanse Chair

Pavel Rutherford is a campaign strategist with over 16 years of experience in the realm of prospect development and analytics. He presently works as an Associate Director of Philanthropy Research and Prospect Management at Gladstone Institutes. He is also the Co-founder of Stanford Solutions at Stanford Medicine, a program focused on promoting commercial philanthropy to address global health issues. Pavel attended Southern Adventist University where he studied music (viola performance) and Spanish. He completed his MBA at La Sierra University. His master’s thesis is focused on measuring the factors that increase resonance between a brand and its audience/customers.

Matias Travizano

Matias Travizano, Director, Rewilder Foundation

Matias Travizano will share the origin story of Rewilder.xyz, a crypto-native non-profit that coordinates the global purchase of land for wildlife conservation. A project borne out of a desire for more transparency and engagement with donors. Rewilder provides a great case study in how NFTs can be used in the nonprofit space. This ‘tokenization’ of philanthropy provides a sound model that can be replicated across all sectors. At its core, the Rewilder concept ties into Apra’s values of using data and technology to foster connection to the missions of philanthropic institutions. 

Robert Wicks

Robert Wicks, Vice President of Philanthropy and CEO, Gladstone Institutes Foundation

Robert Wicks is the vice president of philanthropy and CEO of the Gladstone Foundation. Prior to joining Gladstone, he was the director of West Coast Advancement at Dartmouth College based in the Bay Area. From 2006 to 2014, he worked in a series of frontline fundraising roles for Stanford’s Office of Development and the Graduate School of Business, specializing in the venture capital and entrepreneurial communities. Robert is a board member for YCore and has served as an advisor to the social entrepreneurs at the Draper Richards Kaplan Foundation, the Hasso Plattner Institute of Design at Stanford, and Care Message.
