Description: In April 2020, GW’s leadership requested recommendations on how to adjust fundraising key performance indicators (KPIs) for the coming fiscal year in light of coronavirus. Advancement Services and Research & Relationship Management teamed up to create a data- and public health-based framework to guide our FY21 planning. We’ll talk through how we analyzed trends from historical crises and benchmarked against peer approaches to set the stage. Then, we’ll dive into descriptions of the societal phases of an epidemic like coronavirus and discuss how they may be used as a framework for adjusting KPIs.
