Peter Kotowski

Peter Kotowski, Director, Prospect Development, University of Denver

Pete Kotowski is the director of prospect development for the University of Denver. In this role, he is responsible for implementing a prospect management system, overseeing prospect identification processes and research efforts and division-wide pipeline management as DU enters the public phase of its capital campaign. Prior to this, Pete held several roles on the prospect management and research team at Loyola University Chicago, where he also serves as an adjunct professor in the Department of History.

Pete has served in a number of volunteer roles with Apra. This is his second year as a faculty member for Apra Fundamentals, he is a past member of the Conference Planning Committee and he will be joining the Apra Board of Directors beginning in September! He has also been an active member of his local Apra chapter, spending eight years serving in various roles on the Apra-IL board, most recently as chapter president. Pete has a Bachelor of Arts in history and political science from the University of Pittsburgh and a doctorate in American history from Loyola University Chicago, where his research focused on the relationship between Quakerism, conceptions of manhood and unfree labor in early Pennsylvania. When he’s outside of work, you can find him depressed over the state of his local sports teams, spending too much time thinking about Andor, reading and getting into shenanigans with his five-year-old.
